Set Up:
Start on all fours with hands stacked under shoulders and knees under hips
Rotate elbow pits forward to help set shoulders
Tuck toes under
Actively press into the floor and lift hips to the ceiling (achieving an “A” position)
If mobility allows, drop heels towards the floor
Think about extending as “tall” as possible, decreasing space between shoulders and ears
Initiate the step by moving your arm forward, followed by opposite leg.
The stepping leg with cross under and to the opposite side of your body.
Ideally, try to step more on the outside of the foot.
This “crossing” action creates a longer step that challenges range in your hip and side body.
Because of this, moving into the next step will prove to create a little less stability (longer step and foot isn’t directly under you). Take your time and move slowly as you shift into your next step.
